How To Enable Tweaks On Fugu15 Max Via ElleKit

Here are the steps to enable tweak injection on your Fugu15 Max device using ElleKit:

As Fugu15 Max is currently under development, the public beta IPA requires the installation of ElleKit to enable tweak injection on iOS 15.0 up to iOS 15.4.1.

To start, download and install ElleKit from the ElleKit.Space repository to your device.

Once installed, you can now install rootless tweaks on your phone and enable them to work on Fugu15.

However, since the jailbreak is still in public beta, the installation process needs to be done manually. The good news is that the process will be automated in the future for easier installation.

The installation process for ElleKit has been simplified. You can now install it directly from the https://ellekit.space repo without needing the DEB file.

You can press the buttons below to add ElleKit Repo to your package manager.

What Is Fugu15 Max Jailbreak?

Fugu15 Max jailbreak is a newly-developed jailbreak designed to support all modern iOS 15.4 through iOS 15.4.1 devices, including A12+ models. This jailbreak was created by Lars Fröder [@opa334dev] and is built on the original Fugu15 proof of concept by Linus Henze. The Fugu15 Max jailbreak offers enhanced functionality compared to Fugu15 by providing support for tweak injection and improved exploit performance. However, this feature is still under development and currently does not work.

To enable end-users to utilize Sileo and install tweaks tailored for rootless jailbreaks, Fugu15 Max was designed with them in mind. But the jailbreak has limitations as it can only work on iOS 15.4 – iOS 15.4.1, due to the Wi-Fi bug panic that can be triggered by user space rebooting on earlier versions, even when Wi-Fi is disabled. This issue is also present in Fugu15 jailbreak.

Although the source code for Fugu15 Max is currently available for compilation, it does not yet support tweak injection, making it impractical for end-users. However, the jailbreak will be made available as an IPA package that can be installed permanently with TrollStore.

Fugu15 Max is expected to establish itself as a conventional jailbreak with tweak injection capabilities via the Ellekit tweak hooking library. However, an expected release date has not yet been announced. As such, the Fugu15 Max jailbreak remains an exciting development to watch for those interested in iOS jailbreaking.

☑️ Fugu15 Max jailbreak is a new iOS 15 jailbreak that supports all modern devices running iOS 15.4 through iOS 15.4.1, including A12+ models.

Fugu15 Max Jailbreak Supported Devices

The Fugu15 Max jailbreak supports all A12-A15 systems on a chip (SoC), including a range of iPhone models. Specifically, for iOS 15.4 through iOS 15.4.1, the following devices are compatible with the jailbreak:

A15: iPhone 13 / iPhone 13 Mini / iPhone 13 Pro / iPhone 13 Pro Max / iPhone SE (3rd generation)

A14: iPhone 12 / iPhone 12 Mini / iPhone 12 Pro / iPhone 12 Pro Max

A13: iPhone 11 / iPhone 11 Pro / iPhone 11 Pro Max / iPhone SE (2nd generation)

A12: iPhone XS / iPhone XS Max / iPhone XR

Fugu15 Max jailbreak is a promising development in the iOS jailbreaking community. With its compatibility with a wide range of iPhones and focus on delivering a quality user experience, it has the potential to become a popular jailbreak option for iOS 15.4 – iOS 15.4.1 users.

As for the future, it is expected that iPads will also be supported in future updates, and it remains to be seen whether the jailbreak will be released for earlier versions of iOS 15. Stay tuned for updates and developments.

iOS 15 Jailbreak Tweaks With Fugu15 Max Jailbreak And ElleKit

Fugu15 Max jailbreak has achieved a significant milestone with the help of ElleKit – tweaks are now possible on iOS 15.0 – 15.4.1 devices, including newer ones. Fugu15 is a complete jailbreak tool released by Linus Henze, but initially, it lacked tweak support. However, thanks to ElleKit, Fugu15 now supports tweaks.

Compared to other jailbreaks, Fugu15 stands out because it can be installed directly from Safari and doesn’t require a computer, making it one of the best jailbreak options for modern iOS devices. If you’re looking to customize your iOS 15 device, now is the time to check out the new tweaks that Fugu15 with ElleKit has to offer.

Fugu15 Max Jailbreak Important Notes By Developer Lars Fröder

  • Update debianutils before updating dash to ensure a smooth jailbreak process.
  • Use Ellekit deb for now for tweak injection, as the repo will be available soon.
  • Userspace reboots are not supported, so you need to manually restart processes that you want to inject after jailbreaking.
  • It’s important to note that some tweaks may not work correctly and stability cannot be guaranteed until userspace rebooting is implemented and the whole system is hooked.
  • It’s recommended to change the default root password from “alpine” to a more secure password after installing openssh from the package manager.
  • For those using rootless jailbreak, it’s important to note that no existing non-rootless package will work.
  • Repos and package maintainers must add support for rootless for it to work.
  • Currently, there are barely any packages available for rootless jailbreak.
  • For tweak developers, it’s important to update theos to the latest version to build for rootless.
  • Store and load preferences either via cfprefsd APIs or inside /var/jb/var/mobile/Library/Preferences.
  • All dependencies must be compiled for rootless and stored in $THEOS/lib/iphone/rootless.
  • You need to compile everything for rootless and put every former root path you access through the macros defined in rootless.h.
  • It’s important to compile with Xcode 12 or newer to prevent dylib crashes. However, if you still want to support iOS 12 or 13 arm64e, you need to compile your rootful packages with Xcode 11.

How To Use Fugu15 Max Jailbreak To Run Tweaks On iOS 15.4.1 And Lower

Looking to get the most out of your iOS 15 device? Look no further than Fugu15 Max, the ultimate solution for iOS 15 tweaks. While Fugu15 doesn’t come with a tweak injection library by default, Fugu15 Max by @opa334 will support tweaks and add ElleKit by @eveIyneee. The development team behind ElleKit have successfully gotten tweaks to run on iOS 15.4.1 and lower with Fugu15.

Even though ElleKit is still in development, it promises to power the tweaking on Fugu15, giving you access to a powerful iOS 15.0-15.4.1 jailbreak that’s installable directly via Safari without a computer.

Fugu15 Max With Sileo And Procursus Bootstrap

Fugu15 Max Jailbreak is the ultimate solution for those seeking a powerful and modern jailbreak experience. The package manager that comes with it, Sileo, replaces the outdated and now-defunct Cydia

While Cydia was once the go-to package manager for jailbreak enthusiasts, it has since stopped working on iOS 15 due to significant changes in the way root is obtained. Fortunately, Fugu15 Max provides a much better alternative with Sileo and other package managers like Zebra.

In addition to Sileo, Fugu15 Max also comes with the Procursus Bootstrap, which is a top-of-the-line bootstrap developed by Diatrus and The Procursus Team. This bootstrap is known for its modern and well-maintained structure, making it a reliable foundation for all your jailbreaking needs. So if you’re looking for a comprehensive jailbreak solution that comes with the latest package manager and bootstrap, Fugu15 Max Jailbreak is the perfect choice.

Developer Demonstrates Working Tweak Injection Method for Fugu15 Jailbreak

An iOS developer évelyne has demonstrated a working tweak injection method for Fugu15 jailbreak, a jailbreak platform created by Linus Henze for arm64e devices running iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1. This platform was primarily intended for developers, as it lacked tweak injection to make it user-friendly.

However, iOS developer @evelyneee seems to have found a solution with their fully open-source and Swift-based tweak injection method called ElleKit. It appears to be comparable to Substitute and libhooker and is already mostly working for Fugu15, according to a tweet shared by the developer.

Although ElleKit isn’t supported system-wide and doesn’t yet support hooking C functions, it’s a serious step in the right direction for people who’ve been waiting for a public jailbreak solution.

ElleKit could potentially be deployed as a tweak injection method on Fugu15 and possibly even ra1ncloud, a Fugu15-based jailbreak that offers a more user-friendly interface. However, it’s important to note that a Wi-Fi related issue causing panics on certain versions of iOS or iPadOS 15 when jailbroken with Fugu15 still remains.

Fugu15 and ra1ncloud support iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 devices, including the iPhone XS and newer. However, the XinaA15 jailbreak, which also works on iPhone XS and newer, only supports iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1. For those using an iPhone X or older on any version of iOS or iPadOS 15, the checkm8 bootrom exploit-based palera1n jailbreak tool is an option.

The working tweak injection method is a significant development for Fugu15 jailbreak and provides hope for users waiting for a public jailbreak solution.

Fugu15 jailbreak’s Wi-Fi bug fixed by TrollStore developer opa334

The skilled developer opa334 has achieved a feat that many believed to be impossible: the successful resolution of the dreaded Wi-Fi bug that has plagued the Fugu15 jailbreak since its inception. This is a development that has excited many in the jailbreak community, as the Fugu15 jailbreak has been primarily intended for developers due to some significant drawbacks that prevent it from being more widely used.

Among these drawbacks is the absence of tweak injection support, a notable deficiency that has frustrated users of this platform. Additionally, there is the issue of the aforementioned Wi-Fi bug, which has caused disruptions in the usage of Wi-Fi on certain devices.

However, with opa334’s recent announcement of a fix for this long-standing problem, it seems that the Fugu15 jailbreak may soon be more accessible to a broader audience. The announcement came in the form of a tweet, where opa334 displayed an image of the Fugu15 jailbreak app on an iOS 15.1.1 device with a functioning Wi-Fi connection. In a move that has impressed many, opa334 challenged their followers to identify the crucial detail in the screenshot, which many were able to do.

Following this, opa334 shared a link to a GitHub page forked from Linus Henze’s Fugu15 project, which is titled “FIX WIFI BUG.” This was accompanied by a tweet that provided additional information about the fix, including the fact that Wi-Fi would still have to be disabled during jailbreaking but could be re-enabled after the process was completed. Opa334 also noted that this would be automatically handled by the app in the future.

While this development has been met with much enthusiasm, opa334 has cautioned that the integration of tweak injection is not yet complete and is still some distance away from being ready for public use. Nevertheless, this is a significant step forward for the Fugu15 jailbreak, and with a bit more patience, it may eventually become a widely used tool for iOS and iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 arm64e devices.

Fugu15 Max Jailbreak Source Code

While there is limited information available about the Fugu15 Max jailbreak, the official GitHub page suggests that Lars began modifying the Fugu15 source code in February. It is possible that other developers will contribute to expedite the development process or even discover a means to enable the jailbreak to operate on iOS 15.0 – iOS 15.3.1.

What’s New In Fugu15 Max Jailbreak

Fugu15 Max Public Beta 7

  • The issue with setuid has been fixed, which should resolve problems with apps like NewTerm and potentially others as well.
  • Fugu15 Max Public Beta 7 has now transitioned to using the stable version of Sileo 2.4. However, this update will only be installed on new bootstraps.

Fugu15 Max Public Beta 6

  • Fix some memory corruptions in the systemwide and launchd hooks, which should help prevent random panics related to “initproc exited.”

Fugu15 Max Public Beta 5

  • Added support for userspace reboots. Please note that this is still a beta version primarily intended for developers, so you’ll have to manually reboot after jailbreaking.
  • Fixed AutoFill not working after respring.
  • Fixed function hooking and tweak injection into processes with very hard sandboxes, such as WebContent.
  • Fixed some device / version combinations that were previously not supported, specifically iPad 8 on 15.1.
  • Updated the bootstrap to the latest version.
  • Improved system-wide hook to always respect safe mode and keep the library out of DriverKit and BlastDoor processes.
  • Prevented tweak injection into processes that could use fork, as hooking C functions in a process currently breaks fork from working. A proper fix for this issue is still pending.
  • Added default repos, including Chariz, Havoc, Ellekit.space, and BigBoss.
  • Fixed memory leaks in jailbreakd.
  • Fixed SSH as mobile.
  • Added jbupdate functionality, which allows you to update to Fugu15 Max Jailbreak. You can use the command /var/jb/basebin/jbctl update tipa <path/to/Fugu15.tipa> or /var/jb/basebin/jbctl update basebin <path/to/basebin.tar>. Note that updating to a TIPA also updates basebin but depends on TrollStore being installed on the device.
  • Updated fallback ellekit for launchd hook and properly implemented fallback using rpaths.
  • Deleted more Xina leftover files on jailbreak.
  • Included lots of stability improvements.

Fugu15 Max Public Beta 2

  • Fixed system freeze when jailbreak crashes or restarts. This is a crucial improvement, as it ensures that your device won’t become unresponsive if something goes wrong during the jailbreak process.
  • Made system wide hook more lightweight, thanks to @Cryptiiiic. This means that the jailbreak will take up less resources on your device, resulting in better performance.
  • Fixed bootstrapping error when /var/jb is a symlink that points nowhere. This is another important bug fix that ensures the jailbreak will work properly in all cases.
  • Final jailbreak will have a different name. This is worth noting, as it may cause confusion among users who are familiar with previous versions of the jailbreak.
  • Update debianutils before updating dash. This is a necessary step to ensure that everything works properly after updating to the latest version of the jailbreak.
  • Use Ellekit deb here for now for tweak injection (repo soon). This is a temporary solution for injecting tweaks, as a repository for the necessary files is not yet available.
  • Userspace reboots are not supported. This means that you will need to manually restart any processes that you want to inject tweaks into after jailbreaking.
  • Some stuff might not work correctly, so don’t expect stability. This is an important warning for users, as there may be unforeseen issues with the jailbreak that could cause problems.
  • On 15.0 – 15.3.1, you need to disable wifi while jailbreaking. This is another important step to ensure that the jailbreak works properly on certain versions of iOS.
  • Default password for root is alpine. This is important to note, as it allows users to access the root account after jailbreaking.
  • No existing non-rootless package will work. This means that any tweaks or packages that were designed for previous versions of the jailbreak will not work with this new version.
  • Repos and package maintainers have to add support for rootless. This is important for package developers to know, as they will need to update their packages to work with the new rootless jailbreak.
  • Barely any packages are currently available for rootless. This is another important note for package developers, as it means there is a need for more packages to be created specifically for rootless.
  • Tweak developers need to update theos to the latest version. This is necessary to build tweaks for the rootless jailbreak.
  • Tweak developers need to store/load preferences either via cfprefsd APIs or inside /var/jb/var/mobile/Library/Preferences. This is an important note for tweak developers, as it ensures that their tweaks will work properly with the new jailbreak.
  • Tweak developers need to compile everything for rootless. This is another important note for tweak developers, as it ensures that their tweaks will work properly with the new jailbreak.
  • All dependencies have to be compiled for rootless and stored in $THEOS/lib/iphone/rootless. This is another necessary step for tweak developers to ensure that their tweaks will work properly with the new jailbreak.
  • Tweak developers need to put every former root path they access through the macros defined in rootless.h. This is important to ensure that tweaks work properly with the new jailbreak.
  • Tweak developers need to compile with Xcode 12 or newer, otherwise their dylib will crash the process. This is an important note for tweak developers who want their tweaks to work properly with the new jailbreak.
  • No rocketbootstrap / IPC
